She was responsive and checked all the details inside the house to make sure that everything is good inside the property. Also she helped us setup the utilities in less than 24 hours. When we received that phone call from Jessica Venn, we were blown away, this was unexpected. We had our first viewing and a second one, just in case, but with Jessica's professional skills and confidence, she managed to win our dream house. We had an awesome experience working with her. From the viewing to the final paperwork, she was very supportive, we were always up to date and notified of the progress. Homes for Expats has been responsive, honest and very patient with all our questions, making the whole process much less stressful. Their knowledge of the market and attention to detail really stood out, especially when inspections were done. Jessica and her team is highly recommended for anyone looking to buy a home as an expat.

Moving to a new country comes with its challenges, but finding our new home and working with Lauren from Homes for Expats has been a great experience. She was attentive, helpful, and always quick to answer our questions during our search in Utrecht. This year I decided that I wanted to buy my first home and I didn't know where to start. So I reached out to Homes for Expats and I couldn't have made a better choice! They were very helpful from day 1. They took the time to get to know me and to understand what my wants and needs are with regards to the apartment I'd like to buy. This made me feel secure that they have my best interest in mind and that I would be happy once I find a place I'd like to put an offer on. So then we started looking... It took only 10 days to find my dream apartment! During these 10 days I went on over 7 viewings, all of which were organised by Cherene and her team. They were very communicative, quick to reply, set up all appointments, and even bargained hard for me. On day 10 my offer got accepted and I couldn't have been happier. They took care of everything that came after that, which included setting up things like notary appointments, home valuation reports, technical inspections, going through all the documents provided by the seller, and communicating with my mortgage advisor to ensure that everything is submitted and taken care of on time. This meant that I could focus on enjoying the process rather than dealing with the bureaucracy that comes with buying a home. Home for Expats honestly offer a stellar service and I'd recommend everyone to work with them when looking for their dream home. Besides their service, you feel like you are not treated as "just another customer" and they celebrate with you along the way.

We had a very positive experience working with Christelle from Homes for Expats. In full transparency, I found the listing that we ended up renting, but it helped enormously that Christelle knew the leasing company. This was the first apartment I looked at in person and this was the apartment that I rented. In addition, the listing said no cats but she requested that they make an exception, and they did. And we didn’t have to pay as much rent upfront as I had initially feared we’d have to pay. I also appreciated that when Christelle went to another city to look at listings for me, she advised me against pursuing those based on the neighborhood. All of my Dutch colleagues have told me that the process was incredibly fast. I saw the apartment and the lease was finalized about two weeks later. Christelle reviewed the lease for us and was on call to alleviate my many questions. Homes for Expats also connected us with another company who helped us sign up for the utilities as a free service. Even after we had paid the fees to Homes for Expats, Christelle continued to check in to help us deal with a few issues with the rental and see how we were doing. I really appreciated that. From start to finish, she was always very responsive on our WhatsApp chat. Based on my experience, I think it helps to also do your own searching, but where we really found value was during the rental application process, as expectations and laws differ from what I am used to in the United States, and having a person to advocate for you among the other applicants can really pay off. With the rental market becoming increasingly competitive in the Netherlands, it helps to have someone in your corner.
